SURFLEX FRICTION PLATES WITH STEEL SEPARATORS KAWASAKI KX 125 (1994-2007)

Friction plates are bonded with different materials, completely manufactured by ourselves and chosen according to the motorcycle requirements and use. All of them are asbestos free and some contain kevlar or carbon fibres.

Our clutch kits have been designed to improve the feel and durability of the clutch. These kits usually have two more plates than the oe clutch. In this way, the friction surface is correspondingly increased, and the torque load on each plate reduced.

Where possible, the weight of the plate pack is also reduced, which reduces the inertia of the rotating mass.

Our friction material is different from the original compound. The performance of friction materials will vary depending on temperature, application and riding style. In general, our materials give the clutch improved feel and the torque capacity of the clutch pack will increase by approximately 10%.

Some of our modified clutches come complete with springs.Where appropriate, these may be stronger than the oe item, while retaining an acceptable clutch pull for the rider.

A further sophistication in certain clutch kits is the inclusion of a dished plate, which will provide two benefits - quieter operation, and a sweeter take-up when the lever is released.
