Description

A floor pump is one of the best investments a rider can make to keep their bike ready for action. Experts agree that tire pressure, more than any fancy frame material, the latest suspension, or high-tech wheels, affects the ride quality of any bike. In addition to ride quality, tire pressure affects traction for cornering and stopping, rolling efficiency, power transfer, flat prevention, and overall safety.

A floor pump will make inflating your tires easier, quickly, and more accurate when compared to other means such as a small hand pump, compressor, or other inflating devices. Choosing the right model depends on how often you plan to use the pump, what inflation pressures you bike's tires require, the type of valve your tubes have and what features the pump has to make inflation easier and quicker.

Pedro's Prestige Floor Pump was designed with performance and value in mind.  The Prestige Floor Pump shares many features with our lower priced Domestique, but improves with a few key features needed by the advanced user.  The Prestige's features include high quality steel and plastic construction for durability, a dual head design with thumb-lock lever for easily switching between presta/schrader tube valve types, a top-mounted integrated pressure gauge for easily monitoring pressure during inflation, comfortable ergonomic dual-density plastic composite handle, and heavy duty composite base for stability. The Prestige is designed with a long stroke, narrow barrel design to quickly inflate tires, but with less effort, up to 160PSI (11 Bar) maximum pressure.

About Pedro’s
In 1989, the Pedro’s brand was formed around a revolutionary new chain lube called "Syn Lube”.  Mountain bikers in the Pacific Northwest couldn’t find a lube that would last an entire race in the muddy conditions and Syn Lube quickly became the lube of choice due to its unique combination of synthetic oil, staying power, and detergent ingredients. Once mountain bikers tried Syn Lube and experienced its performance, and word spread, demand skyrocketed and the Pedro’s brand was officially off to the races!

With the mountain bike boom of the 90s, the New England based Pedro’s brand grew quickly over the next six years introducing Syn Grease, Syn Lube Road, Bio Degreaser, Bike Lust polish, Extra Dry lube, Oranj Peelz degreaser, and a small line of accessories made from recycled plastics including the Milk levers, Milk cage, and grips.  If that wasn’t enough, the brand also launched its famous grassroots support program, racing service program, and mountain bike festival!  The brand’s roots in cycling had been firmly planted and a cult following ensued.  People loved Pedro’s for the customer focus, grassroots support and easy-going nature.  Another aspect embraced by fans was Pedro’s eco friendly products…though if you asked us at the time, we would have told you that wasn’t necessarily the goal, but they were glad people liked it!

By 2000, Pedro’s added a complete line of professional grade tools uniquely positioning itself as a complete bicycle care brand.  The additional products further supported the grassroots program and Pedro’s Racing Service and Pedro’s supported as many as 375 grassroots riders and 60 events each year.
